Monday 20 January 2014

a cold and frosty morning ...

best wishes to you all ...

I've been using quiet January to stay home and keep cosy
to catch up with paperwork and sort out my attic

and I've spent a fair bit of time organising projects and materials for this year
so that I can be more efficient and productive once I start working again
because when I do ... it gets very busy around here

this January I am ...

enjoying the moment
spending time with precious family
enjoying planning projects I will work on this year
gathering materials and clearing my work space

I feel it will be a much better year than the last
let's hope so!

thank you always for reading today x

Its always wonderful to start anew with less clutter although there may be things you've come across that shall inspire your creativity...

Hi Carolyn

Nice to see this frosty selection of images (and also the sun, in St Ives today)! Sounds like it won't be long before there'll be more evidence of the creative fruits of your labour soon.

Hiya Carolyn :D Your photo collage is beautiful. Individually, they are all stunning too.
I'm not sure I would return in one piece from any venture into our attic space. In fact, I'm not sure I'd find my way out actually; it's sooo stuffed! Haha. Therefore, I have declared it, 'not my domain' so it's down to hubs, hehe. I'll look through anything he passes down, but that's it.
So glad you 'got out alive' ;)
Lookig forward to seeing what you create through the year my friend :o) x

It sounds like a really good plan!

I'm definitely rushing around less and it feels good.

I love your beautiful mosaic ...

Lovely photo set. I believe January was invented for taking stock and a time for the creative muse to have a holiday! Good luck with the sorting, it's a thing on my list too! Hugs, barb x

Always a joy to read your posts and a lovely reprive from the Australian heat to view your beautiful images. I hope this year is all that you wish it to be :)

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed combing through your site today. I'm not even sure how I found you but so glad that I did. I love England so much! I've been over the pond 3 times and long to go back. My brother and his wife are living in Cumbria right now and I was fortunate to visit them a few years ago. Your lovely blog brings it all back to me. Plus your art is amazing! Can't wait to see your new creations on Etsy!
All the best,
Lynne

What a lovely, wintry collection of photos. Most of them not from this year, I think. You would have to include an umbrella and a pair of wellies for that!
I, too, feel the need for reorganisaing and clearing some space.
Happy 2014 to you.
