Christmas post

These few days just before Christmas are the most magical time. Everything is almost ready and there is a little bit of quiet time to enjoy being at home

I made a lot of my cards this year. Here are just a few more of my Christmas hearts in traditional red with gold ...

Same technique as before, lots of layers of sheers, metallic fabrics, bits of metallic threads, ribbons, then stitched and cut through the layers to reveal the glitzy bits. Again, it's quite hard to capture the richness and "glitteryness" of them

I'd really like to thank you all for visiting my blog, for following me, for your interesting and uplifting comments and if you celebrate Christmas I'd like to send you greetings and good wishes. May you enjoy the beauty and blessings of the season

Merry Christmas!

Carolyn ♥

I've been thinking about you! YOU are so wonderful, sending out love and thoughtfulness - THANK YOU! You shall receive my envelope after the holidays, I fear. I hope you are feeling well and enduring the cold weather. You are so special, such a caring and concerned person and an AMAZING artist! I wish you BIG love and millions of encouraging looks, gestures, compliments, and inspirations.

Big Huge Holiday Hugs to yo Carolyn!! Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderfully glitzy hearts with us!! THe heart is my favorite shape and you ahve done it all so very well@! I love the effect that you get with stitching the fabric heart to the Mulberry paper- the thread pulls a bit and leaves the lovely halo of tiny holes around the heart!! Truely magicAL!!
I will be back often in 2010!!
