Silk paper

Silk paper is beautiful! It has a rich sheen to it, it's usually vibrant with colour as the fibres take rich silk paints and dyes and it's versatile. It's a fabric that can be stitched on or a paper that can take writing and text

It is made in a similar manner to wet felting but with a glue to stick the fibres together. It is a very quick and satisfying process

This piece of silk paper that I made was from natural undyed tussah silk fibres, with a little glitter added for sparkle
