Stitching on varnished paper

These next set of samples are focusing in on a different section of my original picture



































I wish you could feel this sample as it has a lot of texture. I painted the paper with several layers of varnish. I made two drawings of the flower shape. One of them I machine stitched in black cotton. In the centre of the flower on the right I stitched some french knots in black wool. I added several more layers of varnish over the top








































Finally, I made a mosaic showing details of sections of my drawing

This is really brilliant, the hues that you have used as colour variants all blend beautifully. I also like the simplistic design in the mosaic, it would be a pleaseure to have this hanging on my wall.
