I love the work of Gustav Klimt so, for inspiration, I used "The Three Virgins" as a starting point for my initial textile studies

I chose it because it's full of colour, but it's a bit "busy" so I made a small "viewer" from card which I placed over the picture to narrow down a small portion of it

The area I've used is interesting because it's part of two separate patterns with two different colour schemes
