My textile processes book - started at College

When I first began studying textile art at College I started a sketch book of very basic textile art processes and recording methods where I experimented with different materials, stitches, media and processes - a place to stick all the samples!


















This is the front cover of my sketch book. I layered different fabrics, including pieces of hand made felt, hand painted silk and heat distressed chiffon which I machine stitched to a calico base. I added experimental hand stitches and some beading to finish
