Over at Geevor Tin Mine Heritage Centre near Pendeen Cornwall there remain the ghostly remnants of a byegone mining era and a wealth of rusty treasures to interest the textile artist and photographer
These rusted machines, wheels, cogs and carriages came directly from inside the mine, now discarded, unloved, unwanted, unused, unusable, left to the elements
A few photos for you:

Fantastic images,Carolyn,
The textures are amazing, aren't they? You are not alone in finding inspiration in what others consider to be, strange places - it's everywhere, if you take the time to look!
The rusty colors remind me of an American Thanksgiving Day! Brown, orange, burnished reds. I love it! I love the way artists like you see things!
Great capture of texture and colors! Love it.
